Title: A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Reptile Room
Author: Lemony Snicket
Reviewed by: Areli
In this exciting new edition you will
learn about the Baudelaire orphans and their misfortunes.
The Reptile Room is a story where Violet, Sunny, and Klaus Baudelaire
think that they have found the ideal home, with their Uncle Montgomery
Montgomery, or Uncle Monty. Unfortunately, while they are there, they find that
they are taking a trip to Peru, because of Uncle Monty’s job as a
herpetologist. Soon they discover
that their days of happiness are over because Uncle Monty’s new assistant is
Count Olaf. Count Olaf was the man
that caused the Baudelaire’s misery. He was trying to once again steal the
Baudelaire fortune. On the day of
the journey, Uncle Monty is mysteriously murdered. Then, Olaf plans to take the Baudelaires to Peru.
As they bump into Mr. Poe, the person in charge of keeping the
Baudelaires with their aunts and uncles, everything starts to get better for the
Baudelaires. This is an exciting
story you’re going to want to read a million times.
In my opinion, I think that kids should
read this book, because if you’ve wondered about all the snakes there are in
the world, you might even get information on snakes you didn’t even know
existed. I think other people
should read this, too, because they’re learning important facts.
The people who read this book don’t only learn facts, but they also
learn about three children’s lives. When
I started reading this book, I felt like I didn’t want to read it anymore, but
I kept reading anyway. At the end,
when I finished reading the book, I wanted to read the book again.
In my opinion, this book was the best book I have ever read.
Title: Monster Blood III
Author: R. L. Stine

The book I enjoyed this week is called Monster Blood III, by R. L.
Stine. Evan can’t stand baby-sitting his genius cousin named Kermit. Kermit
refuses to play video games. He won’t even play Frisbee! All he wants to do is
hang out in the basement doing strange experiments and playing very mean and
nasty jokes on Evan and his friend, Andy. Now, Andy has found something that
will teach Kermit a lesson once and for all. The liquid is green, slimy, and
it’s a can marked monster blood. Monster blood has been known to be very
dangerous. That’s because the last time the blood got out of its can, the
class hamster ate it by mistake and it turned into a big, puffy, destroying
monster! This time it landed in Evan’s mouth and now he’s growing taller and
taller!! Will he get any bigger?!
I think other people should read the book, Monster Blood III,
written by R. L. Stine, because in this book, there is a thrilling adventure and
it is set at a kid’s understanding. Dealing with younger siblings that get on
your nerves almost all the time, having friends that support you when you’re
down, I think mostly kids would enjoy this book. They’ll read the book over
and over again. They will also tell their friends about it too.

Eragon, a fifteen year old, farm boy, is
shocked when he finds a polished blue stone in a range of mountains known as The
Spine. Eragon takes the dazzling stone to the farm where he lives with his Uncle
Garrow and his cousin Roran. Garrow and his late wife, Marian, have raised
Eragon. Nothing is known of his father; his mother, Selena, Garrow’s sister,
had not been seen since Eragon’s birth. Later, the stone cracks open and a
baby dragon emerges. When Eragon touches her, a silvery mark appears on his
hand, and an inseparable bond is forged between their minds, making Eragon one
of the legendary Dragon Riders.
I think the book Eragon is a
wonderful adventure, mystery, and fantasy. I also think it is an authentic work
of great talent. It will make your heart beat at a dangerous speed, and it will
make you think and ponder about what will happen next. It is full of twists,
turns, surprises, and excitement. When you finish, you will be dazed and
excited. You won’t be able to wait to read the next book, Eldest.

In this mischievous tale, four friends (Drew,
Walker, Shana, and Shane) are furious at Tabby and Lee for messing up their
favorite holiday, Halloween. They have come up with a devilish idea to scare
Tabby and Lee for Halloween. Tabby and Lee will be so scared that they will be
screaming all the way home! Absolutely nothing is going to go wrong with their
idea.
If you want to find out what will happen in the
story, Attack of the Jack-o- lantern, then you should really read this
book. It is very scary, but reader beware, you are in for a scare! I mean it!
You are really going to enjoy this book after you get over being scared! Ha, ha,
ha! It is actually weird in the end, too.
Title: Judy Moody Saves the World
Author: Megan McDonald
Reviewed by: Ashlyn
This book is about a girl named Judy Moody. Judy was sitting in her
science class when Mr. Todd, her science teacher, was talking about animals that
are becoming endangered and are already endangered. Judy thought about a way to
help endangered animals. Judy raised her hand and Mr. Todd called on her. Judy
stood up and said that part of the reason that animals are becoming endangered
is because plants and trees are being cut down. Mr. Todd said that’s correct;
Judy continued and then suggested that the class should save plastic, paper, and
pencils. Mr. Todd said that is a very good idea and that they should begin
tomorrow. Judy went home that afternoon to tell her mother and father about
science class. They said that they should do that at home. The class did this
for over two weeks; when the two weeks were over, they counted how many things
they had. They found out that they had saved over 101 trees. Judy got an award
for her hard work.
The reason you should read this book is because it can teach you how to
recycle, help animals, and you can find out how to save the world. This book is
very funny. It can tell you how you can help your class or school. You can also
learn how to do it at home. Tell your family, friends, and neighbors about it. I
ask if we can all save the world.

This book was about two adventurers who go to
Hawaii. While they’re there, they made some new friends who wanted to go
surfing. When they were on the water, Jack fell off his board. So he just sat on
the beach and watched his friends. Then he felt something vibrate and he looked
in his book. He thought it was an
earthquake. His book said that after an earthquake, a tidal wave could appear in
a hour or in a few minutes. So, he ran out in the ocean to his friends and
warned them that a tidal wave was coming so they ran out of the water as fast as
they could and climbed up the cliff as soon as they got to the top out of
nowhere a huge tidal wave came ripping through the ocean and slammed into the
cliff water went every where but they were safe and they learned the magic of
friendship

The book I read was The Wind in the Willows.
It is an adventure between the characters Toad, Otter, and Beavers.
It is an adventure about Toad the crazy one wanting to drive a motorcar.
He is crazy about money. He
goes through running from the police, from dressing up like a milkmaid to living
in a mansion and becoming rich. Also he gets revenge on his motorcar from the
Beavers. It is up to Otter and his
new friend, Mole. Mole is a mole
that lived in an underground hole that had absolute nobody. This is book was
about an adventure rescuing Toad and finding Mole to be a real true friend.
You should read this book because it has
inspiration and it teaches you a lesson. This
is because it teaches you not to be greedy and not to lie your way out of
things. Next, it is very
funny and hilarious through the whole book.
For example, when Toad acted like a milkmaid I laughed do hard. Last, I
think you should
read the book because of the meaning. The meaning you learn about
the value of friendship and of being honest.
Title: Molly Moon’s Hypnotic Time Travel Adventure

The main idea of this book is when a
man named Petula takes Molly. Molly’s mom put Molly outside to eat. Then
Petula was looking for his dog because his dog ran away from home. So when he
picked up Molly, he thought Molly was his dog because Molly and Petula’s dog
are the same color blue. So the main problem is Molly isn’t a dog; she is a
person. Molly is the person and Petula is the dog. So Petula got taken. Then
when Molly went in the house to eat dinner someone came to take Petula away from
Molly. Guess who it was? It was Petula’s mom. Then Molly went outside the next
day and he didn’t see Petula.
You will want to read this book because it’s
really good. It is also very funny to me. That’s why I like Molly Moon
books. They’re full of mess. So if you read the first page, you will want to
have it.
Title: Conversation with J.K Rowling
Author: J.K Rowling
Reviewed by: Aaliyah
The main idea of this book is how Harry Potter turned from something
small into something huge. J.K.
Rowling wanted Harry Potter to be a children’s book, but she realized her book
had more words than a regular children’s book.
J.K. Rowling kept sending the books to publishers and they kept sending
it back. One day she was happy to
hear that a man named Christopher Little would publish her book.
The reason I think people should read this Conversation with J.K. Rowling
is because it tells information that hasn’t been told.
J.K. has revealed the questions that many people have thought about.
She has written about the true heart of Harry Potter.
If you read it you won’t regret it.
Title: Beware of the Snowman
Author: R.L Stine
Reviewed by: Douglas
The main idea of this book is that a kid named Jaclyn lives in a town of
Sherpia. The odd thing is the snowman there is alive.
At the top of the mountain lives the snowman.
There is also a man named Conrad that lives in the middle of the
mountain. Most people think that he
works for the snowman. One day he
gets his two friends, Eli and Rhonda, to distract Conrad so Jaclyn could sneak
past and see the snowman. Once he
gets up to the ice cave, a giant white figure steps out of the cave.
While backing up, Jaclyn slips off the mountain but grabs the ledge.
When he climbs back up, the snowman sang the rhythm that he had heard as
a kid. So he runs home to get the second verse and reads it to the snowman and
the snowman turns into his dad.
I think someone should read this book because it tells you to believe in
some superstitions. Also, this
would be a good Halloween book or a scary Christmas story.
I also think someone should read this book because when you read the
first page, the grabber pulls you in. Once
you have been pulled in, you don’t want to stop reading it until you finish
it. Also, try reading other
Goosebumps books. “Reader Beware
you’re in for a scare” is R. L. Stine’s famous phrase.
