Mrs. Ramsay's Fifth and Sixth Grade

We were inspired by Andy Worhol's famous artwork with Marilyn Monroe.  Here are the steps for our project.

1. We first printed out four copies of a digital picture of each of us.  Then, we used the copying machine to copy it onto cardstock.  If we used the photos directly from the inkjet printer, it would smear when we did the next step.

2. Then, we brushed watercolors over our photos using four different colors, putting a different color in a different place on each photo.  After the painting dried, we pressed them between heavy books to flatten them out.

3. Next, we mounted them onto colored paper and laminated them.

This was a very simple and fun project that used art and technology together. 

Our Andy Worhol inspired artwork turned out looking great.
